​​​​​​  Olive started in the month of December 2010  and won the hearts of people in and around Baranagar in no time with our special traditional Biryani of Kolkata. Most of  us fall in love with Biryani's great essence and delicious taste after having a spoon only.

​    Now here is something interesting from the pages of history about Kolkata or Calcutta style Biryani (with big Aloo under layers of long grain Rice)- ​ ​​​​​this​ biryani evolved from the Lucknow style when last nawab of Awadh Wajid Ali Shah came to Metiabruz ​along with his personal Chef.​​ Due to recession potato had been used instead of meat. Later ​on this aloo has become the specificity​​  of Kolkata Biryani,lump of meat is also served along with it.It is much lighter on ​spices (Masala) and also one of the most famous Biryani.​

    We have cultivated  the ethnic form of Kolkata Biryani and enhanced the taste to much higher level. From the very beginning of our journey, we are serving good quality Biryani to the people of North Kolkata.While cooking, much care is taken to prepare the Biryani with least fat (to preserve the taste in a healthy and hygienic way).​​
